devronmarts Sounds like warm sunlight coating river-soaked clothes some life ago. I hear memories almost forgotten translated into these songs; melancholy given melody with reverent affect so as to preserve without desperation in my ears, acidic only because honey sticks.

I miss the joy of loving without hesitation. Favorite track: Came So Easy.

Gio Makyo I'm always checking out the new folk music appearing on Bandcamp, but I must admit, I don't buy that much of it. For better or for worse, the new stuff always bumps up against the Pink Moon test. That is, I could spend the next 30 minutes of my time just listening to Nick Drake again instead. I always find myself wondering: Will this new album reach me with the same depth of emotion? Will it gradually reveal more and more, and bring me back to listen to it dozens, hundreds of times? Will it create a sonic identity that is entirely its own, a place to be?

In the case of The Weather Station, the answer is yes, yes, yes! This music manages that illusion of complicity, that it's just you and them sharing this moment, and the rest of the world be damned. 20 listens in, and I'm still discovering its secrets. This one's a keeper. Favorite track: If I've Been Fooled.

Trenton Gartke Such a cool unique folk vibe- love the soft voice and quick banjo & guitar. Tastes like a rhubarb pie, fresh out of the oven, maybe with some cold vanilla ice cream on top. Favorite track: Everything I Saw.

rainerfloo This is one of the best things I've heard in a long time. Love the timeless authenticity, the hauntingness here and there. Shout out to Jennah Barry who recommends it here in Bandcamp after you download her album (also stellar). Favorite track: Yarrow And Mint.
